I am honoured and privileged to lead the esteemed school as the principal since November 2010. G. N. National Public School, Leh, Ladakh, a branch of G. N. National Public School, Gorakhnath, Gorakhpur (U.P) was established in the year 2010.

The school is situated at institutional area, Saboothang, U.T (Ladakh). The area is calm and ideal for imparting quality education.

I am heartened to note that our school and its staff members have risen to this challenge to be gardeners of their own destiny.

They have sown the seeds of their aspirations, worked tirelessly to nurture them so that they can harvest the fruit of their dreams and enjoy the flowers of their success.

The aim of education is to make a child independent in all spheres. Education must help a child to face every challenge. Keeping this in mind, the school imparts education with the latest scientific apparatus and teaching aids. Special efforts for spoken English, individual attention extra classes for weak students and caring to all students by keeping their day-to-day progress report and extracurricular activities on every Saturday.

The school seeks excellence in the field of learning and offers the latest audio-visual aids and provides educational equipment to create a suitable atmosphere to develop the children to creative, constructive and competent citizens.

After several visits of the place, they submitted a proposal before the management committee to set up a branch school of G. N. National Public School in Leh-Ladakh with the contention that it will enable us to share the expertise G. N. has so far earned with the new place in the days ahead. It is expected that Leh-Ladakh will enrich from the outcome of G. N. and in course of time it will also be able to earn the fame as that of its main stream.

INTRODUCTION :

A School under the name and style of G.N. National Public School started functioning in Leh (Under Sri Ghanshyam Narayan Manav Kalyan Trust, 4A-Ghanshyam Bhawan, Nathmalpur Gorakhnath, Gorakhpur) from the month of Oct.2010 as a branch of the Main Stream at Gorakhpur.

The school has started classes from Pre-Nursery to I. It will be upgraded to +2 level in course of time and action will be initiated to get it affiliated by the CBSE, Delhi.

The aim is to provide good and meaningful education to the children. An arrangement has been made to get the teachers trained in the Main Stream (Gorakhpur) during Dec. to March. To begin with two teachers duly appointed from Leh have been trained in the main stream during Jan. & Feb’10. Later suitable teachers from outside Leh will be appointed to add more impetus to the teaching of the local children.
